Searching For Nepal - A Documentary Film Clip
This is a snippet from the feature film Searching for Nepal, it has won awards as a documentary, a personal journey, a travelogue and a social portrait. To me it is just a great story with fabulous visuals...
Searching for Nepal was created as a documentary to open the next chapter of a book by Phil Deutschle about his time in Nepal as part of the Peace Corps, produced by Far Journey Productions – Phil, Robyn Hutman and Matt Dickinson and shot entirely on location in Nepal.
Chris Layhe and CLAi were asked to color correct and color grade this beautiful, deeply touching film, while also handling the audio final mix and project mastering.
Since it was released “Searching For Nepal” has been selected for the BBLI Film Festival, where it won best documentary, the Mountain Film Festival, where it won Best Environmental Feature, the Santa Cruz Film Festival, the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, the Monarch Film Festival, the Big Bear International Film Festival and the Jehlom Film Festival in India… with more to come! It has also been picked up for worldwide television and theater distribution.
